Historical Legacy

Ziyang tea originates from Ziyang County in southern Shaanxi Province, China, with tea cultivation dating back over 3,000 years to the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 BCE).
During the Tang Dynasty, Ziyang tea became a tribute tea presented to the imperial court. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was recognized as a prestigious tea across Sichuan and Shaanxi.
Today, Ziyang remains a living cradle of 1,800 years of traditional tea-making, officially listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2009.
